Ever dreamed of hunting the famous Argali “ Marco Polo Sheep”? Our outfitter has access to an area in Tajikistan,
which holds the highest density of Marco Polo Sheep. The average trophy size is 55 inches with several 60-64 inches
taken every year.
SHEEP SHAPE base camps are located at 12,000 to 13,500 feet above sea level. Base camps consist of wooden
houses with heating, clean and comfortable with separate areas for dining, bathing, and sleeping. Generators are set
up for electricity. Every camp is equipped with a SAT phone or radio station. First aid kits are at all base camps. In
the morning you get into your jeep. During the day you may travel the upper edges of the mountains, glassing the
hillsides and feeding areas. Once the trophy is located you complete your stalking on foot. You can be hunting at
14,000 feet above sea level. Physical condition is a factor on the stalking portion of the hunt. Long range shooting
around 400-500 yards is common for Marco Polo hunting.
